自我的他性

Liu Xin is a professor of sociocultural anthropology in University of California at Berkeley. 在《自我的他性》中，流心以华南某一沿海城市的商业实践逻辑作为研究对象，通过对三类人（官员、商人和小姐）作民族志描述，阐释他们所讲述的有关自我或他人的故事，从而揭示当代中国的自我结构。 本书的特色在于，进行以城市空间为分析对象的田野工作，或明或暗地对以村庄为分析对象的人类学研究的经典模式提出批判，民族志描述的焦点不再是人们的实际经验，而是他们讲述的故事。当代中国正在经历一场剧烈的变革，在变革中，中国人的性格发生极大的变化，他们随时改变自己，甚至很容易就能在性格上变为另一个人，这就是作者所说的自我的他性。
